Quick summary

The short version

We use a few cookies to keep the site working properly and (with your consent) to understand which pages are most useful so we can improve them. We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember things — like whether you're signed in, what's in your basket, or what page you came from — across multiple visits. We also use the term loosely here to cover similar technologies like local storage and pixel tags.

Cookies fall into a few broad categories:

  • Strictly necessary — without these, the site won't work (e.g. keeping you signed in to admin areas)
  • Functional — remember preferences you've chosen, like accepted cookie notices
  • Performance / analytics — anonymised stats about how the site is used
  • Marketing / tracking — we don't use these

How we use cookies

We use cookies for the following reasons:

  • Keeping the site working — for example, remembering your session if you log in to the admin area
  • Remembering your cookie preferences — so you don't see the consent prompt every visit
  • Understanding what content is useful — via privacy-respecting analytics, only with your consent

We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles, track you across other websites, or share data with ad networks.

The cookies we set

Here are the specific cookies set when you use this site. Where a row is marked "with consent", the cookie is only set after you've agreed via the cookie banner.

Third-party cookies

A few features on the site are provided by trusted third parties who may set their own cookies when their content loads:

  • Google Analytics (analytics) — only loaded if you've consented. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Cloudinary (image delivery) — serves images on the site but doesn't set tracking cookies for our use of it.
  • Vercel (hosting) — may set a short-lived cookie used internally for edge routing.

We don't share data from these providers with anyone else for marketing purposes.

Managing your cookies

On this site

When you first visit, you'll see a banner asking whether to accept non-essential (analytics) cookies. You can change your choice anytime by clearing the fa-cookie-consent cookie in your browser, which will bring the banner back on your next visit.

In your browser

All modern browsers let you see, manage, and clear cookies in their settings, and block them altogether if you prefer (although the site may not work as well). Instructions for the common browsers:

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies — for example, if we start using a new tool — we'll update the table above and the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we'll prompt you to review your cookie preferences again.
