Joiner
Workshop-based joinery — bespoke doors, windows, staircases and joinery items.
About joiner
Joiners differ from carpenters in that the work is more often workshop-based — making the items (windows, doors, staircases, bespoke joinery) rather than fitting site-supplied components. Most joiners can do both. A good joiner is the right call for heritage work, listed buildings, or anywhere off-the-shelf doors and windows won't do.
When you might need this
- A listed building needs replacement sash windows
- A bespoke staircase or balustrade is being designed
- Custom internal doors need making to non-standard sizes
- A bay window or other shaped joinery needs replacing
